Ben Kuipers (1975) has a PhD in Management and Organization and is specialized
in teamwork, performance management, strategic HRM and organizational change.
After his PhD research he focused on his own consulting business, at first as a
HGRV business partner, but since 2007 he fully focuses on his own consulting firm.
Ben designs and organizes leadership programs, management training and
development trajectories for teamwork and performance management for a
variety of organizations. He also regularly performs as speaker or guest lecturer
in the fields of team development and performance management, strategic HRM
and Change Management for a variety of profit and non-profit organizations.
He guided Volvo Trucks Sweden as researcher and advisor in a development
program for over 80 managers and 160 teams. Based on his research he
developed the Performability Scan. He applies this concept and the accompanying
instruments in various companies in Europe.
Ben works with both industrial and service organizations that want to focus on
performance development, using the motto "Performing with People". His concepts
are widely applicable. The tailor-made use of his instruments is goal directed and
optimally supports the processes and resources of the company. The advantages of
this approach, which is based on thorough and extended research, are the simple
application and the direct relationship with tangible performance measures.
His research and work at Volvo has won him multiple awards. Most recently his work
concerning the success formula of result responsible teams at Volvo has won him the
prestigious "NOBEM Dissertation of the Year Award - 2007".
